Friend Ships

I want to tell you all about this organization, Friend Ships. Saturday night, I had the privilege of spending some time with these fine folks while learning to cajun dance. A coworker/friend invited me to go with her and her sister to share some time with some of the missionaries working in the New Orleans area providing hurricane relief to the area and its citizens. These folks have been working hard to help feed and clothe people as well as help cover and repair homes. Their relief efforts are endless. I was privileged to meet a few and they are some of the finest people I've ever met, always smiling, never complaining. My friend's brother and sister-in-law cajun dance, so they provided some lessons and we all had a great time cuttin' a rug in the warehouse next to the two ships they call home. It's so great to see such work being done to help us recover.
